The NBA Free Agents touchscreen gave basketball analysts on live SportsCenter broadcasts the ability to drag and drop free agents to team rosters and trade players between teams to illustrate how team salaries and salary caps were affected.
Each time a player was added to or removed from a roster, the graphic employed a complex formula of variables to calculate and display the team’s new projected salary total and projected cap room.
